Busyness is an addiction. Make no mistake about it.
Trevor says, “there’s something in me that’s really awesome, I just haven’t been able to harness it my whole life or connect with it.” This incredible moment of honesty and self reflection lies at the heart of our humanity.
The first mistake every addict makes: “I can do it on my own.”
Trevor says, “he was burning his life down yet was super proud to be holding matches.” He goes onto say, “the reality of my life for the last year and a half was doing drugs in my Mom’s basement, while spending my pay cheques from Hero work on drugs and expecting my Mom to contribute to my credit cards that were behind…”
Most addicts don’t want their addiction but they don’t know how to stop.
Drugs numb out the good stuff along with the bad.
